The Llewellyn School

The Llewellyn School is a co-educational independent special school catering to learners aged 2 to 25, offering bespoke education for pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including communication difficulties, sensory impairments, physical disabilities and neurodiverse profiles. All pupils at the school have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), meaning their learning and support programmes are individually structured to meet personal goals.
At the core of the school’s ethos are values such as kindness, inclusion, perseverance, respect and thankfulness, which shape its supportive and child-centred approach to education and community life. The school’s environment is intentionally nurturing, guided by staff trained in a range of specialist approaches, with many team members qualified in British Sign Language (BSL) to ensure communication support is readily available.
With a Good Ofsted rating, outstanding personal development support and a holistic focus on both wellbeing and learning, the school creates an atmosphere where pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to grow. The combination of specialist teaching, individualised care, communication support and the inspiring backdrop of Quex Park fosters confidence, resilience and real progress for learners of all ages.
Beyond classroom learning, the school’s location within Quex Park gives pupils access to stimulating outdoor spaces where activities such as forest walks, animal care, soft play, museum visits and other enriching experiences complement formal education.

Kindness, inclusion, perseverance, respect and thankfulness empowering tomorrow's hero's - today
